A balance is a currency-denominated account within your wallet that holds and tracks your funds. Each balance operates like a simplified bank account — you can send, receive, and store money — but it does not provide access to named account numbers or credit facilities.
Paisr supports two balance types:
- Primary — your day-to-day balance for sending and receiving money. One primary balance per currency.
- Saving — a separate pot for setting money aside. You can have as many saving balances as you like.
Opening a Balance
Navigate to the Balances section in your wallet and tap New Balance. Choose a currency, select whether it's a primary or saving balance, give it a name, and confirm.

Paisr currently supports SRD, USD, and EUR balances.
Renaming a Balance
Navigate to the balance, open its settings, and update the title. This is useful when you want to give saving balances a more descriptive name like "Holiday Fund" or "Emergency Reserve".
Closing a Balance
A balance must be at zero before it can be closed. Transfer or withdraw any remaining funds first, then navigate to the balance settings and select Close Balance.
Closing a balance is permanent and cannot be undone.
Funding a Balance
Bank Deposit
Transfer funds from your local bank account to the Paisr treasurer account attached to your balance.
- Open the balance and tap Deposit.
- Copy the provided account number and bank details.
- Initiate the transfer from your bank using those details.
- Once the funds arrive, they will be credited to your balance automatically.

Bank deposits can take up to 5 business days to arrive. The transfer must come from an account in your name.
Peer-to-Peer (P2P)
Ask a friend, family member, or employer who is already on Paisr to send money to your wallet. Share your cashtag and the funds will arrive within seconds — no bank details needed.
Card Deposit
Deposit funds directly from a credit or debit card. You'll be prompted to enter your card details once; they are stored securely for faster future deposits.
Card deposits are currently available to select users only.
